Riverdene Stud is located midway between Sydney and Melbourne. The Wagga Wagga-based property can be reached in under four hours from Warwick Farm racecourse, found on the south-western tip of Sydney, and just over four hours from Moonee Valley, the most northern metropolitan racing circuit of Melbourne. It is ideally located to walk mares into stallions standing on the rosters of nearby Kooringal and Bowness studs, as well as most of the studs in Victoria's Nagambie-Euroa region.

Riverdene Stud is in the privileged position of having very experienced and long standing staff. Amanda Elliott, the manager, has been an employee at the stud for 18 years and is ably supported by assistant manager Kate Luther, who has worked for Riverdene for eight years. This core of experienced, long standing management provides very valuable hands-on care to the horses on the farm.
